Hi, samsimilamusic welcome to the hiphop network underground digital magazine, Why don't you introduce yourself for those who don't know you already? Man , Am coming from seychelles, grew up in mombasa, been keen in the music circles down there. i can say i grew up on the street, meaning i became a man on the streets of mombasa and the beach scene crazy, grils everywhere know whut i mean?

Well the network is all about making moves, so tell me what sets you as an artist and the group you work with apart from every other rapper/producer out there grinding?
You see , my musical and racial background which is of mixed race baground so that definately influences my sound. i try to blend rap and r&b, reality lyrics with hiphop .I sing and rap too i think is my most valuable asset. i produce myself but looking to work with experienced producers in the industry.

What group is it that you're currently repping, and what's a little history behind how you came to be?
I rep X-o, thata me , haha.i started learning to play instruments young, my father was a musician. After i moved to mombasa in Kenya , met a guy running a studio, he heard my demo and wanted some beats from me. I did. then started singing myself. got some equipment as dudes down these sides aint easy to give you studio time for hip hop know whut i mean?

Is there anything going on locally that we should be keeping our eye out from you and your camp? Where is it that you consider to be your local grounds?
look out for X-O man , some feuturings coming up soon and i consider Seychelles and mombasa my home ground but im more comfortable repping mombasa kenya mayne. word to my peeps down there yo

What do you think of the Hiphop Network, and what they are trying to do in building an indie database making real hiphop accessible to everyone?
its a real great thang cause it allows peeps like me to show what we got cuz on my sides, it aint easy.

Aiight, on a more personal level now samsimilamusic what is your personal take on the current state of hiphop today?

hip hop is at a crossroads but i dont see it dying

If you don't agree that hiphop is dead, or at least digital currently, then please tell us why you think that it is still alive, and who do you believe is currently out there that supports your case?

Its everywhere, on the radio , the tv the internet i mean come on.
Peeps that know good music when they hear it got my back

What made you decide that you were going to make music for a living?
too much going round and round and m...fu...kr.s dont wana see a m.f like me eat , man down here where im from is a whole other world from th US. lets just say .. some important people down here dont got my back

What else is in store for samsimilamusic and your camp in the near future or beginning of 2009?? What is it that the network should be looking forward to?

good music , fresh sound
